POLICE were forced to break up a fight involving 30 people over augmented reality game Pokémon Go.

The brawl in Surrey is among a list of crimes involving the game revealed by Freedom of Information requests, with others including muggings and exposure.
The game quickly sparked a global phenomenon when it was released in the summer of last year, breaking records as it was downloaded more than 10 million times in its first week.

It allows people to chase virtual Pokémon through the real world by superimposing them into real life through a mobile phone.
The game's extended launch began on July 6, 2016, with releases in Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
A Freedom of Information request revealed several crimes involving the game
The list of crimes – including domestic fights in the West Midlands, exposure in West Yorkshire and a number of muggings, was revealed by the Liberal Democrats.
Former party leader Tim Farron told the paper: "Hearing serious crimes are committed using Pokémon is worrying, especially as a dad with kids who love the game.
"It clearly shows nothing is 100 per cent safe."
