Reclusive couple found dead together in garden
A DEVOTED couple who became reclusive after suffering ill health have been found dead together in the garden of their country home.

Police said the deaths of Anthony Williams, 86, and his doting wife Faith, 87, are not being treated as suspicious.
Mr Williams, known as “AJ”, was a former mayor of the Vale of Glamorgan in South Wales and was a long-serving chairman of the local Conservative party.
He spent 48 years serving the council, was awarded an MBE in 2004 for services to local government and conservation.
The pair retired from public duties in 2007.

A neighbour in the village of Welsh St Donats, said: “They are a lovely couple, very devoted to each other, but have become reclusive in recent years because of their ill health.”
Welsh Secretary and Vale of Glamorgan MP Alun Cairns paid tribute to Mr Williams, saying: “His legacy is long lasting in that there are many more green spaces in Barry and across the Vale as a result of his actions. The community is rightly grateful for his work.”

The couple’s daughter, Dr Ruth Williams, 55, said her parents were “proud ambassadors” for their local area.
South Wales Police are preparing a file for the coroner.
