BRITAIN is “isolated” with “racial tensions” since the Brexit vote, according to a Spanish radio host.

Carlos Herrera, of radio station Cope, said the UK was becoming “distrustful and inefficient” as he criticised the handling of both Brexit and recent terror attacks.
Speaking on his radio show, Herrera added the country was “victim” of left and right-wing populism.
He said: “Britain is becoming an isolated, distrustful and inefficient country, with social tensions, racial tensions that had not been previously known in the history of the island.
"It is a country victim of both left and right-wing populism, which is clear just by looking at the two candidates.

"They will also have to rule the country with the great difficulty of Brexit and the challenge of the attacks that they have been experiencing and that can continue to occur in the United Kingdom."
A Spanish professor said a bad Brexit deal for the UK could have “serious consequences” for Spain.
Luis Garicano, a professor of Economics and Strategy in London, said tourism and financial services sectors in Spain could both take a hit as a result of Brexit.
He said: “We would have very serious consequences in Spain. For commercial exchanges, we have a huge commercial surplus.
“For exchange of tourist services, for example, we have 15 million English tourists in Spain, and for the exchange of capital, we are the second largest investor in financial services in the United Kingdom. And the UK invests heavily in Spain, in all industries.
“In short, it would be a situation with a very damaging potential for Spain.”
