School ALERT Female nursery worker stabbed by 3 women on busy London street on way to work
A NURSERY worker was stabbed by three woman in a dramatic attack on a busy high street in east London.
The woman was waiting on Wanstead High Street when she was attacked
Karrien Stevens, who runs Little Diamonds nursery in Hermon Hill in Wanstead, confirmed one of her staff was slashed on her way to work from the High Street this morning.
The woman was attacked from behind by the trio, who pulled her to the ground and stabbed her in the arm before running off down the street.
Paramedics rushed to the scene to treat her injuries and the victim was later escorted round the local area to help spot her assailants.

Unfortunately she was unable to recognise her attackers.
Ms Stevens told the Ilford Recorder: “It’s scary that something like this can happen right in front of your doorstep.
“What is going on at the moment out there? It’s ridiculous. I don’t know what these people were hoping to achieve.”

A Metropolitan Police spokeswoman confirmed Counter Terrorism Command were aware of the incident but were not leading the investigation.
She said: “We were called at 9.36am to reports of a stabbing in Hermon Hill.
“Officers responding to the scene discovered a woman in her 30s who had suffered slash wounds. Her injuries are not life threatening but she has been taken to hospital as a precaution.

“The three suspects fled the scene before police officers arrived and they are still not accounted for.”
A Redbridge Council spokeswoman told the Ilford Recorder: “Redbridge Council were advised of a reported stabbing in the north of the borough this morning.
“We informed schools and early years providers of this incident and advised them to take precautions to keep children safe until we could clarify the situation. We have now given them updated information and advice.”
