'He wanted REVENGE!' Manchester bomber Salman Abedi's sister reveals motive for attack
SALMAN Abedi’s sister has sparked fury after she claimed her brother carried out his twisted attack on children in “revenge” for US airstrikes in Syria.
Jomana Abedi said her brother, who killed 22 people at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester Arena on Monday, was a “kind” and “loving” person.
She added she was surprised he would commit such an abhorrent act of violence.
The 18-year-old told the Wall Street Journal: “I think he saw children – Muslim children – dying everywhere, and wanted revenge.
“He saw the explosives America drops on children in Syria, and he wanted revenge.
“Whether he got that is between him and God.”

Ms Abedi’s comments were immediately condemned.
Mark Session, a 52-year-old from Manchester, said: “There is no justification for the taking of a child’s life.
“Any kid losing their life is heartbreaking, but to my knowledge, no children in the allied airstrikes has been targeted purposely unlike in Manchester.
Twenty-two people were killed in the bombing
“It is sick to justify the arena bombing in such a way. It is abhorrent in fact.
“There is no place for her comments.”
Salman Abedi’s brother, Hashem, and father, Ramadan, have both been arrested by militia in Libya.
Seven people have so far been arrested in the UK
Seven people have now been arrested in connection with the attack in the UK. One has been released without charge.
Details of Abedi have linked him with one of Islamic State’s top recruiters –Raphael Hostey, also known as Abu Qaqaa al Britani.
Hostey sponsored hundreds of jihadi recruits as they attempted to join ISIS, including former RAF gunner Stephen Gray, Raymond Matimba and Ronald Fiddler.
