GUESTS at the wedding of Pippa Middleton and James Matthews were treated to a stunning flypast by a Second World War Spitfire as the lavish reception – with Meghan Markle arriving just in time.

The vintage aircraft soared overhead at sunset during the party hosted by the bride's parents at the their £6million family manor in Bucklebury, Berkshire.
The fighter plane performed impressive manoeuvres for ten minutes for the guests on Saturday evening.
Michael and Carole Middleton were had informed neighbours of the flypast days before the wedding and apologised for any inconvenience caused by the event.

The iconic Spitfire was extensively used by the Royal Air Force during the Second World war but only around 50 remain airworthy
Pippa and James tied the knot in front of about 200 people at St Mark's Church in Englefield, Berkshire.

It was a star-studded affair attended by members of the Royal Family and celebrities such as tennis ace Roger Federer and Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, the groom's brother and best man.
After the ceremony a champagne reception was held at Englefield House for about two hours before the newlyweds drove off in an E-type Jaguar convertible to cheers from well-wishers.

From there the couple and their guests made the short journey to Bucklebury for the evening reception.
The wedding is rumoured to have cost Pippa's between £300,000 and £700,000, with an expensive glass marquee hired for the reception at their home, as well as Pippa’s estimated £40,000 Giles Deacon wedding dress.
