The area in the Lake District is assumed to be the closest thing to a Liberal Democrat stronghold.
However, the party's unrelenting stance on trying to subvert Brexit has left many disenchanted.
Around a quarter of Liberal Democrat voters also voted to Leave in the European Union referendum.
Many are considering changing their vote after their local MP and the party leader turned the centrist party into the 'Remainers-in-chief'.

Nick Buckley, a farmer in the area, told Sky News: "He does annoy me, especially with his social media activism.
"All he is pushing for is a second referendum. The decision has been made now Tim!
"Buckle down and get on with it and we need to make the best of what we can."
He said the party had to get back to basics instead of alienating Leave voters, who make up the majority of the country.
