May has IGNORED EU rule allowing firms to DISCRIMINATE against UK workers, Labour MP says
LABOUR'S fiery International Trade Secretary took Theresa May to task for "taking her eye off the ball" when it comes to protecting British workers.
Gardiner BLASTS May for 'ignoring' discriminatory ruling
Labour's Barry Gardiner refused to let Theresa May off the hook after reports emerged that the UK was at the back of the queue for a trade deal with the US.
He said that Donald Trump had been "leading Theresa May down the garden path".
The impassioned tirade saw the left-wing MP rip into the Prime Minister for ignoring the EU ruling this week that allowed European businesses to discriminate against British workers.

He told Sophy Ridge that Theresa May's policies would crush ordinary British workers if she gets the mandate she wants from the General Election.
Mr Gardiner said: "When Trump took Theresa May’s hand at the White House, he really was leading her down the garden path!
"At that point, people said Britain has gone to the front of the queue for a trade deal! But last week we heard that we have gone to the back, behind the EU.
"It's already taken four years to try and fail to negotiate TTIP which is the trade deal between the EU and US.
"And we heard Theresa May is quite relaxed about opening up our health services to American healthcare companies.
"The way in which our country as a result of our trade policy is dramatic."

This government saw that and did nothing about it!
The MP then took aim at Theresa May's response - or lack of - to the EU ruling this week that allowed companies to discriminate against British businesses and workers in employment.
The ruling backed businesses that discriminate against British workers in favour of Eastern Europeans.
The Commission confirmed that British workers can be barred from jobs that want candidates who speak Polish or Romanian.
He added: "Just two days ago in the EU, the leaked document from the Commission revealed they were now encouraging European companies to discriminate against British companies and workers when it comes to working.
"It was the Labour Party that had sent a complaint to the European ombudsmen.
"This goes against the words enshrined in the European Treaty, that a member state cannot discriminate against any member state.
"But this Government saw that and did nothing about it!"
"Because the Government has taken its eye off Brexit and is simply looking at the election. It is reckless!"

Later in the interview, Mr Garinder said that Labour's promise of four extra bank holidays was intended to heal the divisions in the country.
He dismissed the idea that the proposal was trying to bribe voters.
The MP said: "We should celebrate those things that bring us together.
"We are so divided in our country. And we have less holidays than everyone else in the G20."
