A BOY has been gunned down and killed near London City Airport
Murder investigation after teenager shot in Woolwich
Loud bangs could be heard and a youngster, who is believed to be a teenager, was found with a fatal gunshot injury.
Armed police arrived at the scene at 10.45pm last night and also discovered a man in his early 20s had suffered similar style wounds.
Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service fought to save the youngster but he was pronounced dead at the scene in Woolwich, east London.

I think I heard three gunshots
Local Connor Evan said he heard three gun shots from his balcony and spotted police cars tearing down the road.
He said: “I think I heard three gunshots.
“I was on the phone on my balcony and I heard noises which sounded like gunshots but I wasn’t sure.
“But then police appeared racing down the street.”

The man, aged in his 20s, is in a stable condition in hospital.
Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Piscopo is heading up the investigation but Scotland Yard said it was unclear if the two incidents were linked.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “Police were called at 22:44 hrs on Friday, April 7, to reports of shots heard and a teenager found injured on Roebourne Way, E16.
“Local officers, firearms officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a boy, believed to be in his mid-teens, with a gunshot injury.

“Next-of-kin are in the process of being informed
“Formal identification and a post-mortem examination will be scheduled in due course.
“A short time later, a man aged in his early 20s, was found with a gunshot injury in Claremont Close.
Scotland Yard has launched a murder investigation
“He was taken to an east London hospital where he remains in a stable condition; his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
“An incident room has opened under Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Piscopo of the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command.
“Officers continue to establish the circumstances that led to the shootings and whether they are linked.
“No arrests have been made and enquiries continue.”
