Huge blaze breaks out in south London - firefighters rush to the scene
A HUGE fire at a building in south London has sent plumes of black smoke billowing over the capital.

The London Fire Brigade was inundated with calls from concerned bystanders as the smoke rose over Vauxhall station just before 10am.
Crews from four different fire stations were called to deal with the blaze, in South Lambeth Road, which was caused by a large pile of building insulation catching light.

Huge plumes of black smoke billowed over Vauxhall as a major fire erupted on a building site.
It took about 40 minutes for firefighters to bring the fire under control.
An LFB spokeswoman told the Evening Standard: “We were called at 9.52am to reports of a fire at South Lambeth Road. Four fire engines from Brixton, Chiswick and Peckham, and 20 firefighters and officers were called to the scene.
“It was a pile of building insulation which was completely gutted by the fire. The incident was over at 10.35am.”
