Daredevils branded 'stupid idiots' for balancing on one leg at top of 250ft scaffolding
A PAIR of adrenaline junkies have been branded ’stupid’ after risking their lives perching on one leg atop 250ft high scaffolding.
Builders Kier Group, which own the site, confirmed they had launched a hunt
The daredevils were spotted by an eagle resident in a construction site in Plymouth, Devon, precariously balancing atop the Beckley Point building.
The duo are thought to have broken into the site on Sunday before climbing the scaffolding - some 250ft metres high.
They scaled the building works before balancing on one foot in a series of heart stopping photos.
The Devonshire daredevils selected a 22-storey building which will eventually become student accommodation with 500 flats later this year as the backdrop for their potentially deadly gimmick.
Builders Kier Group, which own the site, confirmed they had launched a hunt for the trespassers following their death defying stunt.
A spokesman said: “Our security team was patrolling with CCTV and immediately sent a team to site when they became aware of intruders.

"The site was found to be clear and secure and we are continuing to investigate."
Capturing the shocking stunt was photographer Ian Caldwell who was passing by the site.
The photos were uploaded online where they went viral, and local residents have been quick to criticise the pair.

Previous ‘rooftoppers’ have been snapped on top of the China Online Centre, Battersea Power Station, The Moscow suspension bridge, the World Trade Centre and other high-rise landmarks in cities around the world.
And not just confined to posing on top of skyscrapers, stuntmen often film themselves pushing the limits of safety to the extreme as stye work out on rooftops, performing press up and headstands dangerously close to the edge.

One incident on top of Toronto’s high rises saw a man charged by the city's police last year after he was caught.
The man, named as Oleg Cricket, posted several videos showing him jumping large gaps and doing somersaults on top of The Mercer condo building.
