A GROUP of travellers face being fined for using a car park frequented by bingo players as around a dozen caravans were seen taking up spaces.

The site, where drivers without tickets are issued with £95 fines, is run by a private parking firm but is used by Gala Bingo customers.
Locals who regularly park in the area in Brighton, East Sussex, said they were "frustrated" by the sudden appearance of the caravans but the parking firm said it would look to dish out penalties.
A spokesman for Highview Parking Ltd said: "We will most likely be issuing charges.

"These vehicles must be registered with the DVLA.
"This is a timed car park and once that time has expired, tickets will be issued."
Brighton and Hove City Council said it was aware of the unauthorised encampment.

A spokesman said: "As this is private land, this is a matter for the landowner to deal with, who we believe will be enforcing a common law eviction at the earliest possible opportunity."
The travellers have promised to move on.
Gala Bingo have been approached for comment.
