Democracy RESUMES after London terror attack with one minute silence in Parliament
DEMOCRACY continued as normal today after Westminster’s terror attack as politicians took part in a one minute silence.
House of Commons pay tribute to attack with minute silence
All members of the House of Commons present participated in the reflection shortly after 9.30am.
Commons speaker John Bercow opened proceedings, orchestrating the silence.
Mr Bercow said the minute was in respect for the memory of those killed and hurt in the attack on Wednesday, which left four dead and at least 40 injured.
He said: “Colleagues, in respect for memory of those who lost their lives in yesterday’s attack and of all of the casualties of that attack, we shall now observe a minute silence.”

London was hit with a deadly terror attack which killed five, including the killer.
At least 40 others were injured in the deadly rampage which happened shortly after 2.30pm.
The car ploughed through a crowd of people on Westminster Bridge before crashing into black railings outside the Houses of Parliament.
The attacker attempted to storm into Parliament, fatally stabbing 48-year-old police officer Keith Palmer.
