The former Apprentice contestant hit out at the First Minister on her LBC show after the politician pledged to ask the Scottish Parliament for permission to trigger a referendum.
Referring to the SNP leader, the commentator was trying to work out “what goes through her little head”.
She said: "I do wonder about Nicola Sturgeon, you know… After I go home after work, I put on my jim jams, I'm with my children, I'm kind of hanging out at home, and you know pottering about, wondering what's for tea.
"I do wonder what she thinks about in her own time. I do wonder what goes through her little head and whether she's just kind of, overwhelmed with the huge idea that she needs to fight against everything.

And like a gremlin she can see that sun coming, and she knows this is her last chance to do something with her life
"Fight for Scotland, fight for independence, and she knows that her power is ebbing away.”
She then compared her to a “gremlin” in fear of a crumbling European Union.
Hopkins said: “It's like a gremlin when it gets exposed to the daylight.
“She can see the sun rising, she can see that Brexit might actually work out, she can see the financial markets improving. She can see the EU collapsing into nothingness.

“And like a gremlin, she can see that sun coming, and she knows this is her last chance to do something with her life before she falls apart and dissolves into a mass of muddly puddly gingerness."
The comments come after Mrs Sturgeon said she did not wish to “force” Scotland into a “hard Brexit” in an announcement on Monday.
She added: “Our plan to protect Scotland’s interests. Right now Scotland stands at a hugely important crossroads.
“We did not choose to be in this position and I wish that we were not in this position but we are and the stakes are high. We must have a plan for the way forward."
Scottish Secretary David Mundell later announced the Government would reject any request to trigger a vote on independence.
