'He’s just taking money from the rich' Corbyn torn apart over maximum wage cap on LBC
JEREMY CORBYN has been picked apart on LBC as a caller thundered that the Labour leader’s proposal to introduce a maximum wage cap in the UK was doomed to fail.
LBC caller RIPS into Corbyn over his 100 per cent tax rate
On Tuesday, Mr Corbyn said he supports a “maximum earnings limit” which would place a legal cap on how much people can earn in Britain.
Mr Corbyn continued by saying it would be a fair way to bring down levels of inequality and crack down on fat cat salaries at the same time.
However one LBC caller was left completely unconvinced by the proposal as he said it would not help those who needed it the most.
He roared: “I don't understand how this helps anyone.
The LBC caller savaged Jeremy Corbyn’s proposal to introduce a maximum wage cap
“This is why people are going against the usual politicians because he thinks that hurting a big guy is going to help the little guy.
“This is robbing from the rich and giving to absolutely no one.”
Eric dismissed the “Robin Hood” idea that taking from the rich would benefit the poor.
“He's not taking from the rich and giving to the poor. He's just taking money off the rich,” the LBC caller said.
Nigel Farage: Jeremy Corbyn is doomed
James O'Brien said he liked Mr Corbyn’s idea in principle but said it was ‘bonkers’
This is robbing from the rich and giving to absolutely no one
“Nobody's going to give 100 per cent tax. Nobody's going to pay anyone above that.
“Who's going to pay an employee at any level more money if all of it is going to tax? If you get offered a pay rise and all of it goes to the Treasury... it's not going to work.
"No company will do it. They will put the money back into profit so the shareholders are happy."
Host James O'Brien said he liked Jeremy Corbyn’s idea in principle but said he could not get past the fact it was “bonkers”.
He asked his listeners: “Can you tell a woman who has spent her life building up her business that there is a limit she can pay herself?
“I really don't know.”
Eric’ brutal assessment of the Labour Party leader’s proposal comes after Piers Morgan ripped into him on his first appearance on Good Morning Britain.
Laying into the Islington MP, the ITV host attacked Mr Corbyn for his 'shambolic' political campaigns, asking him: "Do you actually want to be Prime Minister?"
