Pet lover spends THOUSANDS on clothes for her seven dogs
A STYLE-CONSCIOUS pet owner has created her very own fashion icons, spending thousands on outfits for her seven pampered pooches.
Fiona Gordon orders specially made outfits for her seven dogs
Each of Fiona Gordon’s Maltese dogs has an individual style – and a wardrobe of handmade clothes.
The 31-year-old, who looks after Floee, Mya, Hamish, Angus, Theo, Ellie and Isla full time, has an obsession with canine fashion.
She said: “It started in 2003 with my first one, Bella who was born with a heart condition.

It’s really normal to me now
“She was very small at only 4lb and when outside she would be shivering and clearly feeling the cold, so I bought her a little jumper and coat to keep her warm.”
Fiona, from the Isle of Skye in Scotland, said her dogs mainly share clothes and have six wardrobes – including two for Christmas and Halloween. All the clothes are made to size and ordered from the US.
Fiona added: “It’s really normal to me now. The girls love the attention more – they love people to fuss over them.
The dogs have individual styles
“Maltese are very adaptable little dogs. They are happy to be outside playing or to go for a nice long walk, but mostly they enjoy being with people.
“They certainly don’t wear clothes all the time, however when they do, people are always very taken with them.
“It’s actually a bit of a joke at our local vets. They are very disappointed if the dogs ever turn up ‘naked’.”
Prices range from £5 to £45 for custom handmade dresses
With prices ranging from £5 for a T-shirt to £45 for a handmade dress, Fiona, who lives with stock-controller partner Stuart, 42, has lost count of how much she has spent.
She said: “It has cost absolutely thousands over the years. They are happy, well cared for and well fed. They love it. If they don’t want something on, they take it off.”
