Farage slams anti-Trump protests as 'miserable list of excuses'
The ex-Ukip leader compared last-ditch efforts to block the UK’s European Union divorce to President-elect Donald Trump's expected confirmation by the electoral college on Monday.
Mr Farage was speaking as the institution's 538 electors gathered in the District of Columbia to cast their official ballots for president and vice-president.
Speaking on Fox News, the Brexit campaigner said: "We've seen violent protests, but I saw some of that myself on Fifth Avenue outside Trump Tower the other week.
"That's similar – what we've now got now is a series of legal cases trying to delay the Government over Brexit, over triggering this Article 50 which is the legal mechanism that we need to use to leave the EU
Nigel Farage has hit back at a "miserable list of excuses" for blocking Brexit
It’s the same miserable list of excuses from people that have had it all their own way for far too long
"We even had a left-wing member of Parliament put in a claim that Russian hacking was why we all voted for Brexit."
Mr Farage added: "It's the same miserable list of excuses from people that have had it all their own way for far too long.
"I'm sure things today will go just fine."
It is highly unlikely the electoral college vote will change the outcome of the November 8 election, which gave the White House to Mr Trump after he won a majority of electoral college votes.
International Trade Secretary Liam Fox has said there is no job for Mr Farage as a US-UK link
Tory ministers are allegedly finding ways to circumvent Theresa May’s reported ban on talking to Nigel Farage as he bids to bridge the gap between the US and UK.
The Telegraph reported that ministers were defying the Prime Minister’s ban on speaking to the former Ukip leader so they can build relationships with the President-elect.
MPs have allegedly been communicating with Mr Farage by using middlemen and mobile phones as a discreet back-channel between themselves and his team.
Speaking to BBC Radio 4’s Broadcasting House programme, the Brexiteer said he doesn’t expect to take up a role in Mr Trump’s administration because of his British passport.

"I think we have got a perfectly good ambassador in Washington at the present time.
