Caring workers from top media group tour country helping homeless at Christmas
WORKERS from one of the country's leading media groups are touring the country to help the homeless in a Christmas appeal.
Jonathan Bunting, Managing Director of Connect News & Media, launched the Pass It On appeal
Staff from Connect News & Media have donated thousands of warm clothes, sleeping bags and food to help those without a home this winter.
It is part of the 'Pass It On' charity campaign, which will also see employees who volunteered visit cities across the UK to help the homeless.
Jonathan Bunting, Managing Director, is the brains behind the appeal and will be with staff to hand out warm drinks and food to Britain's needy.
Our staff have been donating pre-loved warm winter clothes and sleeping bags
He said: "Our staff have been donating pre-loved warm winter clothes and sleeping bags.
"Starting today a group of internal volunteers and I will be visiting various cities across the UK giving the homeless a warm drink and warm clothes."
The appeal has seen 5,000 items of clothing, 2,000 coffees, 1,000 chocolate bars, 1,000 space blankets and 250 sleeping bags, among others donated.
