AFTER Southern rail strikes caused commuter chaos this morning, here is a look at how to get home this evening.

What trains are running today?
Southern rail has said that there will be no Southern services “on any route” during the strike today.
But the Thameslink services are operating as normal and there are Gatwick Express train between Victoria and Gatwick Airport every half hour.
South West Trains said its trains are running normally on all routes but trains have to run at ”reduced speed on the London bound suburban line”.
Southern said: “South West trains are limited in capacity and we strongly advise that you do NOT to attempt to travel; but if you do travel please allow extra time to complete your journey.”

Brighton and Hove buses, London buses and trams, Metrobus buses and the Gatwick Express.
London Midland: Between Milton Keynes Central and London Euston via Watford Junction.
London Overground: Between West Croydon, Crystal Palace, Peckham Rye and Canada Water Clapham Junction and Watford Junction via Willesden Junction Watford Junction and London Euston

- Honor Oak Park and Brockley tickets can be used at Nunhead or Crofton Park.
- Between London Victoria and London Blackfriars or London Bridge.

South West Trains:
- Portsmouth Harbour / Havant and Southampton Central
