A TWISTER has been spotted off the coast of Britain snaking through the clouds and threatening to hit land.

The twister that closely resembles a tornado was seen yesterday afternoon, just as the Unilever storm was breaking.
The spinning cloud formation was seen off Whitstable and Herne Bay, Kent, with several people taking pictures of the phenomenon and sharing them on social media.
One local, who asked not to be named, said: "First Pot Noodles stop being sold and now twisters are forming.

A funnel cloud is made up of condensed water droplets and although they spin, the formation only becomes a tornado on contact with the ground.
