Horror as girl, 9, dragged off playground into woodland in broad daylight
A TERRIFIED young girl fought off a man who tried to drag her into a woodland area in broad daylight while she played in her local park.
The girl was playing in Pointer's Field
Norfolk Police have launched an investigation after the man, aged between 25 and 35, attempted to abduct the nine-year-old at 4.30pm on Friday.
The victim was playing in Pointer’s Field, off George Pope Road, in Norwich, when the “scruffy” suspect struck.

She managed to break free and was not injured.
Police said the suspect had a beard and was unkempt and scruffy in appearance. He is described as between 5ft 10ins and 6ft tall.
Inspector Nik Hewitt said: “We are in the early stages of our investigation and while I understand the details of the incident will cause concern among the community.
"I would like to stress the motive of this attack remains unclear and incidents of this nature are rare in Norfolk.”
