Furious parents say primary school introduced unisex toilets without warning them
A PRIMARY school has come under fire by enraged parents after making all its toilets unisex – allegedly without any consultation.
The Willow Tree school has sparked outrage after converting all its toilets into unisex facilities
Concerned parents fear children could be bullied or sexually assaulted by older pupils in the gender-neutral facilities.
Lisa Carrano, 35, has a seven-year-old daughter attending the Willow Tree Primary School in Northolt, West London.
She said: “Pupils have been saying they are afraid of using the toilets in case older kids peer over the top of the cubicle or take a photo on phones.”
Worried Lisa said she believed the school – given a “good” ranking by Ofsted – had done it to cater to transgender students.
The school has not confirmed what the reason behind the toilet changes was.
But angry parents claim the alterations were made during the holidays and they were not consulted over the changes.

Now 200 pupils have signed a petition over the controversial toilets.
Headteacher Sue Stanley said the cubicles had full-height doors, meaning other schoolchildren will be unable to peek inside the stalls.
She added: “There have been a number of unisex toilets at the school since it opened in 2000 and there have never been issues.”
“A lot of our children don’t want to use toilets with the opposite sex”
And in July, the Boarding Schools Association told its staff to address children with their "pronoun of choice", offering the gender neutral term "zie" as an alternative option.
