A TRAIN has derailed in Kent after smashing into a tractor.

“Straight away I rang the emergency services and they are still here now.
“It is amazing that nobody has been injured.”
Shocked twitter users took to the internet to express their shock there were no serious injuries.
Martyn Gray-Horwood said it was "amazing" people were able to walk away from the accident.

Emergency services rushed to the scene where five people suffered minor injuries.
The Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch light railway reportedly hit the farm vehicle at a cross before sliding off the tracks.
Witnesses have described how the train driver jumped out of his cab before rushing to help around 50 on the train on Dymchurch's historic light railway.

A Kent Police spokesman said: "We were informed at 2.35pm that a train on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway had collided with a tractor at a crossing in Dymchurch.
"No serious injuries have been reported."

They carried on blowing the whistle and then suddenly the front engine part of the train was off the tracks
Eyewitness Sandra Leverick told KentOnline how he saw the driver attending to frightened passengers as they escaped the stricken train.
She said: "I could hear the whistle going and that is quite unusual so I walked into my garden to see what was going on.
"There is an unmanned crossing which I have seen the tractor using regularly today but the tractor wasn't moving and the train was coming.
"They carried on blowing the whistle and then suddenly the front engine part of the train was off the tracks.
“The driver was amazing."
The witness called emergency services who surrounded the scene.
It is thought roughly 50 passengers were on the train but no serious injuries have been reported.
