THE body of a man has been dragged from the sea this morning at Herne Bay.

Police arrived at Central Parade at 6.15am when the man was seen in the water.
He washed up onto the pebbled beach opposite the former British Legion club, and he was covered with a tarpaulin sheet.
Two police cars and initially an ambulance attended the scene, followed by a CSI van.
Police spokesman Steve Knight said: "Officers are currently at the scene and enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances."

A man - thought to be the one who alerted police - was seen talking to officers in the back of a patrol car.
The grim discovery comes ahead of a predicted end-of-summer heatwave today, with temperatures set to hit the high 70s.
