THE YORKSHIRE Ripper lived a £3million taxpayer-funded life in Broadmoor despite being fit to return to prison more than TEN years ago, it has been claimed.

Peter Sutcliffe spent 32 years in the psychiatric hospital at a cost of £325,000 a year before being finally moved to Durham’s HMP Frankland jail last month.
A tribunal recently ruled the serial killer, 70, had been cured of his paranoid schizophrenia.

But it has been claimed Sutcliffe, who was found guilty in 1981 of murdering 13 women and attempting to murder seven more, was actually found to be sane by two doctors more than a decade ago.
One medic ruled him fit to return to prison in 2005 and another two years later, according to a conversation Sutcliffe reportedly had with friends while still inside the secure hospital facility.

Neil Jackson, 58, whose mother Emily was one of Sutcliffe’s victims, said: “It’s unbelievable.
“He was enjoying easy street in Broadmoor despite doctors saying there was no reason for him to be there.”

The warped killer initially spent three years at Parkhurst Prison, Isle of Wight.
He was moved to Broadmoor psychiatric hospital after receiving a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia.
At Broadmoor, Sutcliffe had own private room with a television and was allowed four visitors per week.
It was tactic used by Milly Dowler's killer Levi Bellfield, who now goes by the name Yusuf Rahim.
