Boozy Brits spend two whole years of their life hungover
They will suffer from headaches, nausea and fatigue for around five hours a week, with the worst-hit day being Sunday.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, people aged 18 to 24 were more likely to suffer from the ill effects.
The average 18 to 24-year-old will suffer twice a week and will take six hours to recover.
It’s shocking to think that as a nation we spend nearly two years of our lives feeling lousy.
But it’s not just the younger generation that is over-indulging, those aged 65 and over suffer from increased hangovers and take on average seven hours to recover.
Over a lifetime, researchers estimate the average Briton will spend 682 days, or nearly two years, suffering with a hangover.
Ashleigh Fletcher, a co-founder of Booze-Up home delivery service, said: “It’s shocking to think that as a nation we spend nearly two years of our lives feeling lousy.”

The figures also show women take one hour longer to recover than their male counterparts.
Further findings show that people in Scotland are much more likely to have a hangover, with 20 per cent of Scots experiencing five hangovers or more each month compared to just six per cent of people nationally.
