REVEALED: David Cameron's pro-EU leaflet funded by YOU has made voters LESS informed
DAVID Cameron's controversial pro-EU leaflet has made voters feel less informed about next month's referendum, it has emerged.
The Government splurged £9million of taxpayers' cash on pro-EU leaflets
The Prime Minister came under fire last month after spending £9.3million of taxpayers' cash on the "propaganda" pamphlet.
And now a poll has revealed the leaflet has struggled to inform Britons about the historic June 23 referendum.
It was was sent to every UK household last month, sparking a furious backlash from leading Brexit campaigners.
But at the end of April, just 21 per cent of voters said they were well or very well informed about the in/out vote.
That was down from 23 per cent at the end of March, according to the Electoral Reform Society (ERS) poll of 1,521 Britons.
The findings are likely to provoke more anger from anti-EU activists such as Boris Johnson and Ukip leader Nigel Farage.

The huge leaflet drop appears to have had little effect
ERS chief executive Katie Ghose said: "Leaflets are not enough to create a genuinely informed and engaging EU debate.
"Voters want to be able to compare information from both sides so that they know the full story.
"These findings show that the Government's huge leaflet drop appears to have had little effect."
She added: "The lack of a well-informed conversation isn't because people don't care. There is huge scope for creating a lively national conversation.
"As well as hearing the clear facts and arguments from both sides, we want to see a vibrant referendum debate.
"That's what got people out to vote in the Scottish independence referendum, and that's what we need across the UK between now and June 23."
