Hundreds of people gathered at the Victoria Park Mosque and the Muslim Heritage Centre, Manchester, to mourn Hamzaa Iqbal, Munib Afzal Karim and Hamza Gujjar who lost their lives last Wednesday.
The friends were returning home after celebrating Munib’s sister’s wedding in the early hours of the morning when the Audi S5 they were travelling in crashed on Wilbraham Road in the of Whalley Range borough.

Police have said the car was travelling at “high speed”.
The vehicle crashed into a signpost and two other parked cars at around 3.15am.
Victims Hamzaa Iqbal, Munib Afzal Karim and Hamza Gujjar
Iqbal, 24, and 20-year-old Gujjar died at the scene but 21-year-old Karim died in hospital the following day.
The trio’s funeral had to be stretched over two sites after a staggering number of people showed up at the mosque and centre on Thursday.

Mourners travelled to Manchester from as far away as Scotland and the south east of England to pay their respects to the young men.
A 17-year-old has been bailed until June 11 after being arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The funeral had to be held over two sites because of the huge numbers of people
A second teenager, aged 19, has been de-arrested after initially being held on suspicion of the same offence.
