Andrew, 48, first swapped his steel nails for the more delicate type in an emergency, when wife Julie, 54, lost a member of staff.
Andrew – pictured with Julie below – was then fed up with spending so many evenings alone while she worked late that he took a crash course to become a nail technician.
Julie, who owns Nature’s Way in Preston, said: “Andrew took to doing nails like a duck to water.”
