New Year's Eve 2016: Where best to see the London Fireworks
TICKETS to the London fireworks go on sale today, but the spectacular display can also be seen from other vantage points in the capital.

The New Year’s Eve fireworks have been ticketed for a third year in a row with thousands of spectators charged £10 to stand in viewing areas by the River Thames.
But the fireworks display staged opposite the Houses of Parliament can also be watched from a number of other bridges in central London and hills further away.
Just down the river from the ticketed area, Tower Bridge provides a good view of the fireworks over the Thames.

The display can also be seen for free from Southwark Bridge, Millennium Bridge, Vauxhall Bridge and Lambeth Bridge.
Monument and Cannon Street near St Paul’s Cathedral are other popular spots for catching a glimpse of the fireworks above the city.
Be prepared for crowds at these locations because the bridges and surrounding areas are expected to be very busy on the night.
Southwark Bridge is also a good spot
Further away in North London, try venturing up Primrose Hill for views of the fireworks and the rest of the city. The park, near Chalk Farm tube station, usually stays open until 1am.
Also in North London, Parliament Hill in Hampstead Heath is also known for its open spaces and panoramic views of the skyline.
The fireworks can be enjoyed from a distance at Greenwich Park
Greenwich Park in South London and Alexandra Palace in North London are two other places where the fireworks can be enjoyed from a distance.
If you do not feel like braving the cold and crowds, you can always watch the fireworks on TV from the comfort of your own home.
As usual, the fireworks will be set off when Big Ben strikes midnight on New Year’s Eve.
