The incident, which happened at 6pm yesterday, saw a sign at the Cineworld in Broad Street, Birmingham go up in flames.

We were evacuated from the cinema
Hundreds of moviegoers had to leave the multiplex, and diners at nearby restaurants Tiger Bills and Nando’s were also evacuated.
Moviegoer Mike Stuart, 54, said: “We were evacuated from the cinema by 6pm.
“The fire brigade were already dealing with it when we got out.
A sign exploded
It must have been a quick response as we went in the cinema at around quarter to.”
And Louise Warren, 23, said: “We were in Nando’s and we saw from the window drops of fire falling down.
“They shouted ‘Fire, everybody out.’
Fire crews were called
When we came outside we could see the whole sign was on fire and it started to spread upwards.”
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Fire Service said firefighters from Ladywood and Highgate stations tackled the fire.
A total of six fire engines were at the scene.
The fire was out by 7.45pm
The flames were extinguished within half an hour and damping down was taking place.
The cinema reopened for business at 7.45pm.
