And memorabilia belonging to the late Sir Stanley Matthews is expected to raise £30,000 at a forthcoming auction.
Among a wealth of treasured items is a green and red quartered England cap awarded to Sir Stanley for the ‘Battle of Highbury’ international against Italy which was held at the former Arsenal stadium on 14 November 1934.

Nicknamed ‘The Wizard of the Dribble’ and ‘The Magician’, Sir Stanley, who died in 2,000 aged 85, is the only player to have been knighted while still playing.
A near-vegetarian teetotaller, he kept fit enough to play at the top level until he was 50 years old.
Sir Stanley played nearly 700 games in the English top division, scoring 71 goals
He was also the oldest player ever to play in England’s top football division and the oldest player ever to represent the country.
The items are being sold by a private collector.
The auction will be held at Sotheby’s in New Bond Street, London, on October 27.
