Road rage cyclist jumps on taxi bonnet in front of BUCKINGHAM PALACE
THIS is the outrageous moment when an enraged cyclist jumped on a TAXI in front of Buckingham Palace.
A cyclist jumped on a cab after a perceived slight
Pictures taken in The Mall - just outside Buckingham Palace - show the lycra-clad man lump on the cab's bonnet in front of hundreds of tourists hoping catch a glimpse of the royal way of life.
Instead they were subjected to a tirade of verbal abuse hurled at an unsuspected Hackney cab driver from a man aged in his fifties.
Police had to close the road after rushing to the road rage incident earlier today.
It was a complete nightmare situation for the driver
An eyewitness said: "I was in my car waiting to cross at the lights when I saw the cyclist cut right in front of the taxi.
"He jumped off his bike - leaving it directly in the driver's path - and climbed onto the bonnet.
"He appeared to be complaining that the cabby had given him a rude gesture earlier on the route.
"Once on top of the cab, he sat down and exchanged words with the man - who looked almost as shocked as the tourists heading towards Buckingham Palace."
And things went from bad to worse for the cabbie once police tried to find out what was going on.
The eyewitness said: "It was a woman and what looked like her son and they just leapt out almost straight into another taxi.
"They didn't even pay. It was a complete nightmare situation for the driver."
Neither of the men were arrested over the incident.
