WATCH: Cyclist caught TEXTING with no hands while riding through traffic-clogged London
A CYCLIST has been caught TEXTING with no hands on her bike while riding through the traffic-clogged streets of central London.
The cyclist can clearly be seen texting on her phone
The brainless rider weaved dangerously across the carriageway, taking her eyes off the road for half a minute as she composed the message.
At one point she forced a passing van to keep his distance as she veered in and out of the designated cycle lane directly into the line of traffic.
Later on the same cyclist is seen running a red light and cutting across oncoming traffic, before speeding along a pedestrian pavement.
The shocking video was filmed by a motorist with a dashboard camera, in a reversal of the recent trend which has seen cyclists calling out drivers for their bad habits.
Here the reckless cyclist can be seen holding her phone in both hands by her chest, completely engrossed in typing the text message as she continues to pedal furiously.
Despite the fact she is in a wide cycle lane she regularly veers into the main road, putting the traffic behind her at risk.
After tucking her phone away the cyclist takes the opportunity to run a red light - cutting up oncoming traffic - before mounting a pedestrian pavement and racing off.

Cyclist texting in London
She weaves in and out of the cycle lane, clearly distracted
The footage was shot in Grosvenor Road, near the River Thames in Pimlico, central London, just before midday on Wednesday.
Her terrible display of recklessness came just hours after police in Gloucester had to reprimand a cyclist who they spotted texting whilst riding.
Five cyclists are known to have been killed on London's streets already this year.
Cycle campaigners are often quick to point out the misdemeanours of drivers filmed on their helmet mounted cameras.
On Wednesday extraordinary footage of a woman eating a bowl of cereal in her Range Rover went viral when a cyclist confronted her near Hampton Court Palace.
Reacting to today's footage James McLoughlin, from road safety charity Brake, said: "Distraction can be fatal, so it's essential that all road users give the road their full attention at all times.
"Our message, whether you're in command of a bus, truck, car or bicycle, is that no phone call or text is worth risking your own life or the lives of others.
"Put your phone on silent and out of reach."
