Britain's oldest man celebrates his 111th Christmas this year
BRITAIN’S oldest man Nazer Singh is about to celebrate his 111th Christmas – but he is running out of ideas for presents.
This year Nazar is struggling to think of ideas for gifts
Born in Punjab, India, 110-year-old Nazar had not heard of Christmas until he moved to England in 1965. Now he is a huge fan.
“Since I came to England I take pride in receiving gifts and giving presents. I’m running out of items to ask for, though.”
This year Nazar will spend the day with family, but won’t be seeing all his nine children, 34 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren.
The ex-labourer lives with son Chain, 61, in Sunderland.
Chain said: “We always get him warm clothes. Oh, and whisky. We can’t forget that.”
Two men in the world are older than Nazar – Sakari Momoi and Yasutaro Koide, who are Japanese and aged 111.,
