Choir pract-ice is masses of fun over Christmas, boys!
YOUNGSTERS at Winchester Cathedral yesterday showed that life in the choir is far from all work and no play.
Winchester’s choir boys cut a dash on the ice yesterday
The 22 choristers, aged from eight to 13 and still dressed in flowing scarlet cassocks, took a break from carol singing for some fun on the cathedral’s open-air ice rink.
The inner close is transformed over the Christmas period.
The festive market rivals any in Europe attracting 350,000 visitors every year and skating is a Winchester seasonal tradition.
So much so that it would take a real Scrooge to begrudge a youngster a whirl around the rink.
