FORMER Madeleine McCann suspect Robert Murat will return to an Algarve police station tomorrow to be quizzed as a witness over her disppearance.
Ex-suspect Robert Murat will speak to police tomorrow
Portuguese police acting on behalf of Scotland Yard detectives were due to question the expat yesterday but ran out of time.
Mr Murat, 41, is not suspected of any involvement in Madeleine’s disappearance from a Portuguese holiday complex in Praia da Luz on May 3, 2007.
He has said he is happy to co-operate with the inquiry.
Though Mr Murat spent more than eight hours at Faro police headquarters, he left last night without having gone into an interview room.
Only his German-born wife Michaela Walczuch, 38, was questioned along with a former manager at the Ocean Club complex.
IT consultant Mr Murat was made a formal suspect days after Madeleine, from Rothley, Leics, went missing but was cleared a year later.
Scotland Yard detectives began conducting a fresh round of interviews at the start of this week.
