The ULTIMATE selfie? Paraglider takes jaw-dropping picture of himself over Lake District
THIS jaw-dropping picture shows what one photographer has dubbed the "ultimate selfie".
Stuart Holmes, 48, took a spectacular snap of himself as he soared in the skies while paragliding over the picturesque Lake District.
The shot was taken from the perspective of his parachute and shows Mr Holmes looking into the camera as the idyllic green landscape fills the background.
Mr Holmes was above Walla Crag and Derwentwater when he took the astonishing snap.
He said: "The ultimate selfie for a paraglider pilot! It was warm evening summer flying above Walla Crag and Derwentwater.

"A fast shutter speed is required here to freeze the movement and a bit of background blur indicates I was spinning quite fast."
Mr Holmes, from Keswick in Cumbria, has spent the past two years taking stunning aerial shots of the Lake District.
He has shot more than 360 photographs at 70 locations in the well trodden landscape.
Mr Holmes claims his love of paragliding has helped boost his love of photography.
He added: "It takes me to places people don't usually see, it is a truly amazing way of experiencing The Lakes.
"A lot of people take a camera with them when they go flying but not everybody takes a high quality camera and can take the time to get into position to take a decent picture."
The pictures will feature in the first of a series of 10 books Mr Holmes plans to publish called Photographing the Lake District.
