Local Election Results 2014 Labour win, Ukip on the up, Lib Dems and Tories lose support
UKIP picked up more than 160 council seats as the party took support from Labour, Conservatives and Liberal Democrats right across England.
Nigel Farage's party won 163 seats, while Labour picked up 2,101.
But the coalition government parties lost support, with the Lib Dems down 307 seats and the Tories losing control of 11 councils.
