Man in court over Asda disabled parking space killing
A MAN has appeared in court charged with manslaughter after a 64-year-old grandfather died in a fight over a disabled parking space at a supermarket.
Alan Watts, is accused of killing Brian Holmes, who was knocked to the ground on August 3 during a row at the Asda car park in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire.
Mr Holmes, of Sandy, Bedfordshire, died of head injuries the following day at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
Days earlier he had been given the all clear from cancer.
Watts, 65, of Biggleswade, appeared at Bedford Magistrates’ Court.
He was bailed to appear at Luton Crown Court on August 28 for a plea and case management hearing.
