Plane crash kills former Microsoft director and 3 others
A FORMER director of Microsoft, his son, and two children from another family have been killed in a plane crash in the US.
The light aircraft piloted by Bill Henningsgaard, 54, a Microsoft marketing chief for 14 years, hit houses when trying to land at an airport in Connecticut on Friday.
The two dead children were in one of the houses.
Mr Henningsgaard, had been travelling to the East Coast to help his son Maxwell, 17, choose a college.
His plane had taken off from an airport in New Jersey.
Mr Henningsgaard worked at Microsoft from 1988 to 2002 before leaving to concentrate on philanthropy.
