SAS heatwave deaths are 'a mystery'
MYSTERY surrounds the deaths of two soldiers who collapsed on an SAS selection exercise in the Welsh mountains earlier this month, an inquest heard yesterday.
Further tests are being carried out into the heatwave tragedy which claimed the lives of reservists Lance Corporal Craig Roberts 24, from Penrhyn Bay, and Edward Maher, 31, who was a member of a Royal Artillery special operations battery.
A third soldier remains in a serious condition.
The inquest at Brecon Law Courts in Powys, mid Wales, gave the cause of death of the pair as “unascertained”.
