English Defence League graffiti found at Islamic Centre blaze
GRAFFITI was found on walls at an Islamic prayer centre burnt down in a suspected arson attack yesterday.
Counter-terrorism officers were called in after the letters EDL, possible referring to the English Defence League, were found sprayed on the Somali Bravanese Welfare Association building in Muswell Hill, north London.
Chief Supt Adrian Usher, of Barnet police, said: “When and where that graffiti was placed is a focal point of the inquiry. It’s too early to say whether these letters were done at the same time as the attack.”
