British police travel to Australia in Rolf Harris investigation
DETECTIVES investigating historic allegations of sexual abuse against entertainer Rolf Harris flew to Australia days before he was arrested in Britain in March, it was revealed yesterday.
It is understood at least two officers from Operation Yewtree travelled to New South Wales.
Australian-born Mr Harris, 83, an enduring TV favourite since the Sixties, was initially interviewed in November last year, following a search of his house in Berkshire.
He has not been charged and is on bail pending further inquiries. He denies all allegations.
