Dad proud of Britain's Got Talent teen star Jordan O'Keefe
TEENAGE star Jordan O’Keefe stunned judges on Britain’s Got Talent, and made his dad proud.
His performance of One Direction’s Little Things helped draw in more than 12 million viewers on Saturday.
Within hours of the ITV show fans across the world were raving about the young student from Londonderry, Northern Ireland, on Twitter.
Simon Cowell said he was “fantastic”, while Amanda Holden praised his “amazing” voice.
But Jordan, 18, said his greatest triumph was winning over his dad, who banned him from doing music at college.
Before the contest he told Ant and Dec: “I love my dad but he wants me to have a back-up plan. I am here today to prove him wrong.”
Afterwards Mr O’Keefe said: “Jordan that’s fantastic. It is what you deserve for all the hard work you put in.”
