Soap star Andrew Lancel denies child sex abuse
FORMER Coronation Street star Andrew Lancel arrives at court with his wife Louise yesterday to deny charges of sexually abusing a 14-year-old boy.

The 42-year-old actor, who played Frank Foster in the soap, pleaded not guilty to six counts of indecent assault between November 1993 and March 1995.
He appeared at Liverpool Crown Court under his real name Andrew Charles Watkinson and was released on bail to face trial on June 30.
Lancel, of Gatacre, Liverpool, also played DI Neil Manson in The Bill.
In December he withdrew from a starring role in Liverpool’s Sleeping Beauty pantomime as he vowed to clear his name. His Corrie character was killed off in March, murdered by his mother.
