Tributes flood in for school skiing trip teacher Jonathan Taylor
TRIBUTES have flooded in for a teacher who died on a school skiing trip.
Jonathan Taylor, 44, suffered head injuries when he fell as he walked home after a night out with colleagues at 3.10am on Sunday.
He had only arrived at Matrei, in Austria’s East Tyrol, with 40 pupils and staff from Christ The King Catholic School in Arnold, Notts, on Saturday. He died at the scene.
Roman Catholic Bishop of Nottingham, the Rt Rev Malcolm McMahon, said it was “a tragic loss”.

He said: “My thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family.
“Jonathan will be remembered with affection by many.”
Neighbours Bill and June Bailey said: “He was always helpful and handy.
“We are just very, very sorry, he was a lovely young man.”
The pupils are due to return home tonight.
