Game of Thrones star Clive Mantle 'shaken up' after having part of his ear bitten off
GAME of Thrones star Clive Mantle had part of his ear bitten off after asking other guests at a hotel to keep the noise down yesterday.
The 55-year-old, who played Greatjon Umber in the HBO series, was attacked at 4.30am in a Travelodge on Newcastle's Quayside.
The British actor has undergone surgery to save his ear, and a 32-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent.
A spokesman for Saraband Associates, the actor's agent, said: "He is very badly shaken up. He sounds very wobbly today."
The actor will see a specialist in Oxford tomorrow to see if the operation has been a success.

Mr Mantle was in Newcastle as he was appearing in a production of The Ladykiller's at the city's Theatre Royal.
His agent's spokesman said he will not be able to appear in the production during the show's run in Manchester.
The man charged with the attack will appear before Newcastle Magistrates next month.
