Money saver coupons soar
MORE shoppers are turning more to money-off coupons to make their cash go further, research reveals.
The number of vouchers redeemed last year soared to 448 million – a third up on the previous year’s 337 million – with an average £1 face value.
Nearly three-quarters are used at grocery stores, but voucher redemption in other shops rose by 45 per cent.
Charles D’Oyly, managing director of coupon firm Valassis which carried out the research, said: “It looks likely this trend will continue.”
