Teenager’s body found hanged in woods
THE search for a missing girl ended in tragedy yesterday when her body was discovered hanged in woods close to her home.
Molly O’Donovan, 14, was last seen leaving her home around 9am on Monday.
She was found dead by a passerby out walking yesterday.
As news of her death broke, Molly’s friends, family and neighbours flocked to the spot where she was found to lay floral tributes.
Residents had joined police in a massive search launched after her disappearance and many of Molly’s friends had taken to the streets to hand out flyers with a photo of her.
Her family had told police that her disappearance was “completely out of character”.
She had been a pupil at the Blessed George Napier Catholic School, Banbury, Oxon, a specialist sports college which describes itself as “a thriving school where laughter is often heard and respect for each individual is regularly demonstrated”.
